"Whether you're recovering from an injury, building strength for the demands of your job, looking to prevent workplace injuries, or exploring corporate wellness solutions, they all begin with the same foundation: the Occupational Durability Method™. This educational framework teaches individuals how to recognize the physical exposures they encounter throughout work and everyday life, make informed decisions about those exposures, and develop the movement, physical capacity, and recovery strategies needed to continue doing what they need—and love—for years to come."

My career began in industrial ergonomics, where modifying the work environment often reduced injury risk. Working alongside equine veterinarians changed my thinking. Many physical demands simply couldn't be engineered away. That led to one simple question: What if we stopped waiting for injuries and instead taught people how to become more durable throughout their careers? That question became the foundation of the Occupational Durability Method™.
The body doesn't know whether you're at work, carrying groceries, playing golf, gardening, loading a horse trailer, or sitting at a computer. It only knows the physical demands placed upon it. The Occupational Durability Method™ teaches people how to recognize those demands and make better decisions before they become problems.
What physical demand is being placed on the body?
How can the environment, equipment, or task be changed to reduce unnecessary stress?
How can the body move more efficiently to minimize unnecessary biomechanical stress?
What strength, mobility, stability, endurance, or movement qualities need to improve so the body can repeatedly tolerate this demand?
How do you prepare the body to meet that demand again tomorrow?
Originally inspired through years of working with equine veterinarians, the Occupational Durability Method™ applies to anyone whose body is essential to their profession or lifestyle.
